GUARINUCCI NAPOLI

Classic Neapolitan tailoring, an icon of timeless elegance.

Known and appreciated throughout the world, classic Neapolitan tailoring represents an icon of timeless elegance. Guarinucci Napoli was born from this precious artisan tradition, guarded and passed down with love and dedication through generations, and reinterprets it in the most modern tastes and themes of menswear.

Each Guarinucci creation comes from a research of materials and patterns combining classic with contemporary style to appeal to a man who wants refined clothing and casual elegance suitable for every occasion.

Men's outerwear is the real key player of Guarinucci collections and of its origins are preserved some typical details such as the famous "pignatta" pocket, name due to its shape resembling a pot, the "mappina" sleeve also known as shirt sleeve for the drapings on the sleeve around the shoulder, the "barchetta" breast pocket due to its rounded shape similar to a little boat.

Lightness and comfort are other characteristic traits of the Neapolitan jacket, which historically have been distinguished from the more rigorous and plastered jacket of British origin. Guarinucci wanted to maintain in its models this idea of a fit that goes along with the body's natural shapes, movements and gestures, particularly in some garments that are completely deconstructed and unlined. This makes the jacket particularly suitable for accompanying men on events and business trips.

A homegrown excellence

The garments are made entirely in Italy: here is where the idea is born and takes shape among the skilled hands of pattern makers, cutters, tailors and ironers to make an authentic and fine product. Attention to detail and high quality of fabrics make the garments a typical product of Italian excellence that should not be missing from a man's closet.

Sustainability

In recent years, with the exponential increase of world's population, the issue of sustainability and resource exploitation is gaining importance. With the advent of "fast fashion," the apparel industry has become among the most polluting due to the huge amount of products that are thrown away year after year as they become soon obsolete and out of fashion. Guarinucci's philosophy seeks to move away from these concepts and continual refreshment of wardrobes by ensuring garments with timeless appeal.

In terms of packaging, Guarinucci uses only environmentally friendly materials. Garment cover bags and hangers are made of recycled plastic, hangtags are made of eco-friendly paper, and buttons, made of real horn, derive from food industry waste, totally abolishing those made of plastic.

A not insignificant aspect is also the choice of fabric, Guarinucci gives attention to all those suppliers who use work processes and raw materials with low environmental impact by dedicating a special capsule to them.

The Seahorse

The pin is a seahorse applied to the lapel of our garments. It is depicted with its eye slumbering and face to the left, like a baby sleeping protected on his father's chest. Seahorse is a member of Syngnathidae family, the only one in animal kingdom where is the male who gives birth to pups. A creature with mythological references and a curious appearance, it is an animal to be preserved, raising awareness of sustainability and respect for our sea and the environment in general.

The color of the logo is precisely the one of Guarinucci's city of origin, "Yellow Naples", which is present together with red in the city's coat of arms. Essential color, without it is impossible to paint according to Paul Cézanne.
